What is Ultimate Reality for Me?

For me, the pursuit of truth is constant and relentless. Uncertainty is an ultimate reality all must face despite bull-headed, egotistical prejudices boasting a monopoly on truth. Reality to me exists as the unknowable. What most people accept as reality, I believe to be a flawed attempt of our mind to interpret the world around it. This “reality” is an illusion and a distraction. The mind has a tendency to take the five physical senses, coupled with learned prejudices, and extrapolate “truth” to report back. In our minds’ attempt to rationalize an irrational world, ultimate reality escapes perception. We are like a young child transfixed by shiny wrapping paper, our minds hone in on the self-induced illusions leaving the gift of true reality hidden unseen beneath the surface. For me, beneath that shiny wrapping paper lays a limitless, all-encompassing energy. This energy is all. It is vibrational and eternal. In short, this pool of energy is ultimate truth; the source of all. The problem is, our mind is so preoccupied by sensory perceptions that the more trust worthy faculties of the mind are pushed aside or forgotten. We become bewitched by the dazzling sights, sounds, and other physical experiences. The quiet voice within atrophies and the connection we share with all life and the source is forgotten to wither away. Ultimate reality for me consists of never accepting the illusion brought before me by my mind as truth. The constant struggle to ascertain truth is a major factor in my life. Ultimate reality for me is never accepting what someone else tells me is truth simply because they say it is so. I must experience truth myself.
